This kit is used on the PTO model horse tillers to update to the new style shift dogs (they use an Allen head screw to shift the dog rather than the old style ball bearing) or just to replace your worn out shift dogs. Wear on the shift dogs usually comes from mis-adjustment. Make sure to adjust the shift detent bracket on the trans housing to allow full engagement of the dogs.
