How did we get started?
During the winter of 1981, Marvin Sensenig purchased his first Briggs and Stratton engine repair manual. Using his kitchen table as a work bench, he tore down and reassembled the engine off of his push mower in an effort to learn more about small engines. He had grown up taking his vehicles and lawn equipment to a local repair shop, but was sure that he could handle repairing and maintaining his own lawn equipment. The tear-down and reassembly of that first engine was a success, and he learned a lot about the engine components and how it operated. Marvin’s interest in small engine repair and maintenance grew, and as he learned more, he began offering to work on his friend’s and family’s equipment as well.
In the spring of 1984, just two and half years after his first engine experiment, Marvin decided it was time to turn his evening hobby into an official business, and founded Sensenig’s Repair and Sales LLC, operating part-time. That year, he starting selling Snapper walk-behind mowers that he consigned for Green Acres Lawn and Garden to replace mowers that weren’t worth fixing. The Snapper mowers sold well, with Marvin selling a dozen in the first season. In the spring of 1988 after making the shop a fulltime venture, Sensenig's became an official Snapper mower dealer. This added the opportunity to provide our customers with zero turns, tractors and snow blowers in addition to the walk behind mowers. In March of 1991, we had the opportunity to add the Echo power equipment to our dealership to fill the need for a high-quality handheld equipment lineup. Those two brands served our customers needs well for nearly 20 years.
In 2010, when Marvin's son David started helping with the business operations, the opportunity was offered to us to take on a BigDog zero turn mower dealership. We decided to move forward with it as Snapper was pulling out of the commercial mower market. Towards the end of the 2013 season, a Toro dealership was added to our lineup of equipment bringing with it well built, easy to use residential and commercial zero turns, walk behind mowers, snow blowers and more. This was a real blessing as Snapper eventually stopped producing mowers and snow blowers in the following years. In the fall of 2016, a Grasshopper commercial mower dealership was added bringing another exceptional product to our customers. They specialize in high quality, high performing commercial zero turn mowers. In 2019, we started offering the Italian made Ambrogio auto-mowers to our customers to keep up with the changing times.
At the end of the 2022 season, we received word from BigDog that it was discontinuing new mower production. We were disappointed as we liked the lineup of mowers they offered, but we are glad we still have great brands like Toro and Grasshopper mowers to offer our customers. We still are an active parts and warranty center for BigDog mowers. We are super excited to announce that new for the upcoming 2025 season is the addition of Viper Loaders! This exceptional product line will round out our product offerings and allow us to better equip our landscapers and contractors.
We've been serving the community ever since 1984! We've built many long standing relationships with homeowners, business owners and landscapers over the years and would love the opportunity to serve you and your family as well! We believe that a business should exist to improve and care for the lives of customers and employees alike, and we promise you will feel that when you stop in and meet us! We are sure you'll be back again just to say hello!

Original 2-Car Garage
This is the original 2-car garage that was on the property when Marvin purchased it in July 1977. Marvin operated in this garage from 1981 until 1989 when he built the new expanded shop with a small showroom.

New Shop in 1989
This is the shop that was constructed in the winter of 1988-1989. It was a big upgrade from the small garage Marvin started out in. It featured a small equipment showroom, a drive in shop with a wash bay, and plenty of space for equipment storage on the second floor. The 3-car garage on the left side was originally for his families personal vehicles, but eventually filled up with customers equipment waiting for repairs!

Our Current Facility
In 2014, we started the process of paperwork and planning to expand and renovate the 1989 shop to increase our capacity to serve our customers. Construction was started in May of 2016 and completed in October, adding a 50x50 storage warehouse, an expanded showroom, expanded parking lot and giving the entire building a facelift. The washbay was moved out of the shop and into the warehouse, giving the shop more space as well.
